I’ll give more detailed information about the new features in version 2026 once I’ve had time to dig into them. But here is a list of what’s new. It’s not a long list, but these are significant new features and I think most people will think it was worth the long wait for this release. Each of these features will be available in Sage 50 Pro, Premium, and Quantum
AR Automation
This new feature gives you the option to synchronize your Sage 50 data with an online customer portal that allows you to share invoices with customers, send payment reminders, and automatically collect payments. It lets customers see their transaction history and the status of each invoice, reducing the time you need to spend on administrative tasks.
Retirement Plan Super Catchup
You can now specify if employees between the ages of 60 and 63 are eligible to make the new “super catchup” contributions.
Additional Special Fields in Payroll
Sage has increased the number of Special Fields available from 5 to 15, to support more complex state-specific calculations and custom payroll formulas.
Expanded Banking Integration
The process of connecting to major financial institutions is more seamless and secure. Sage 50 can now authenticate directly through supported browser windows, ensuring compatibility with banks that prioritize modern security standards. This will unlock access to institutions like Capital One, First Citizens Bank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Access, and BMO. When this feature is activated, each connection will automatically sync with Sage 50, keeping financial records accurate and up to date without manual intervention
Resolved issues
These issues have been resolved for Pro accounting and higher:
- Fixed webmail installation errors, so you can now use Microsoft 365 Outlook to send emails from Sage 50.
- Removed outdated article references from obsolescence messaging to make it clearer and more informative.
- Previously, serial numbers could be difficult to locate. Sage 50 will now auto-populate the serial number during Sage 50 installation.
- Removed outdated links for retired Sage One and Sage Business Cloud Accounting integration.
