{"id":239,"date":"2019-06-28T10:57:06","date_gmt":"2019-06-28T15:57:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.iqaccountingsolutions.com\/blog\/?p=239"},"modified":"2019-07-24T15:25:16","modified_gmt":"2019-07-24T20:25:16","slug":"bank-deposit-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iqaccountingsolutions.com\/blog\/bank-deposit-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Bank Deposit Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"line-height: 110%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 110%; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: #082042;\">If you are trying to reconcile your bank account and find that the deposit amounts that Sage 50 is showing don\u2019t match up with the deposit amounts showing on your bank statement, the <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">Bank Deposit Report<\/span><\/em> is your best tool for identifying the problem.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 110%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 110%; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: #082042;\">To view the report, go to the <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">Reports And Forms<\/span><\/em> menu and choose <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">Account Reconciliation<\/span><\/em>. Double click <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">Bank Deposit Report<\/span><\/em> in the list on the right. It normally opens to the last account you reconciled. If you need to, you can change that, or the date range, by clicking the <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">Options<\/span><\/em> button at the top of the report. The report will show you exactly which receipts are included in each deposit. Compare this report to your deposit records to determine which receipts need to be corrected.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 110%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10.5pt; line-height: 110%; font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif; color: #082042;\">Now that you know which receipts are the problem, correcting them is easy. Double click on the receipt you want to change. (Older versions don\u2019t allow you to drill down from this report, in that case go to the <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">Tasks<\/span><\/em> menu and choose <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">Receipts<\/span><\/em>). The first field is <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">Deposit Ticket ID<\/span><\/em>. This is what you need to correct. Any receipts that use the same deposit ticket ID are grouped into one deposit on the bank reconciliation. So all you need to do is correct the <em><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial',sans-serif;\">Deposit Ticket ID<\/span><\/em> for any receipt that was grouped in the wrong deposit.
