{"id":131,"date":"2010-05-26T16:00:46","date_gmt":"2010-05-26T21:00:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.iqaccountingsolutions.com\/blog\/?p=131"},"modified":"2012-09-24T14:11:02","modified_gmt":"2012-09-24T19:11:02","slug":"inventory-services-management-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.iqaccountingsolutions.com\/blog\/inventory-services-management-center\/","title":{"rendered":"INVENTORY &#038; SERVICES MANAGEMENT CENTER"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Inventory &amp; Services Management Center is one of the biggest new features in the 2011 version of Peachtree Complete, Premium, and Quantum.\u00a0 I think that, of all the new features, it will probably bring the biggest benefit to the most users.\u00a0 It does for inventory what the Customer Management Center did for customers and sales in version 2010.\u00a0 With it, you can look up an inventory item and see related sales orders, purchase orders, AR and AP invoices, as well as quantity and last cost information all on one customizable page. To get to it, click on <em>Inventory &amp; Services<\/em> on the left side of the main Peachtree window.\u00a0 At the top will be two tabs.\u00a0 The first tab, <em>Inventory &amp; Services<\/em>, is what you are already used to seeing.\u00a0 Click on the 2nd tab, <em>Inventory\/Service Management<\/em>, to see what is new.<\/p>\n<p>At the top, you enter an item ID.\u00a0 Then each module shows you information regarding that item.\u00a0 By clicking the <em>Customize This Page<\/em> button at the top of the screen, you can add, remove, or rearrange modules.\u00a0 You can even add the same module twice if you want to compare the same information for two different time frames.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the complete list of modules you can select:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assemblies Built\/Unbuilt<\/li>\n<li>Assemblies Using Item<\/li>\n<li>Credit Memos<\/li>\n<li>Expense Tickets<\/li>\n<li>Find a Report<\/li>\n<li>Inventory &amp; Service Tasks<\/li>\n<li>Inventory Adjustments<\/li>\n<li>Item\/Service Information<\/li>\n<li>Payments Applied To Expenses<\/li>\n<li>Proposals<\/li>\n<li>Purchases\/Inventory Received<\/li>\n<li>Quotes<\/li>\n<li>Receipts Applied To Revenues<\/li>\n<li>Sales Backorders<\/li>\n<li>Sales Invoices<\/li>\n<li>Sales Orders<\/li>\n<li>Serial Numbers<\/li>\n<li>Totals<\/li>\n<li>Vendor Credit Memos<\/li>\n<li>Work Tickets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>At the top right corner of each module is a button with a picture of a gear on it.\u00a0 Clicking it lets you customize that module.\u00a0 You can also customize each module by dragging columns to be wider or narrower, or dragging and dropping them to change their order.\u00a0 You can also print the information in each module, or send it to Excel, email, or PDF.\u00a0 And, of course, you can double click to drill down to the original transactions.<\/p>\n<p>The Inventory &amp; Services Management Center makes it faster than ever to find information about inventory (or non-inventory) items.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You&#8217;ll have more information at your fingertips for than ever before.
