In the cases I&#8217;ve run across, Sage 50 opened without a problem after the installation finished. But the next time they try to launch Sage 50 they get the error &#8220;Sage 50 Accounting has stopped working.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>All I&#8217;ve been able to find out from Sage is that they are aware of the issue and are working on fix. However, if you have this problem there is a work-around. Right click on the Sage 50 shortcut, choose <em>Properties<\/em>, go to the <em>Compatibility<\/em> tab,check the box by <em>Run this program as an administrator<\/em> and click <em>OK<\/em> to close the window. Each time you launch Sage 50, you&#8217;ll most likely get a UAC prompt asking if you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer.
